New Factsheet Helps Identify Workload Factors Related to Working Hours

The Occupational Safety and Health Act requires that, when identifying and assessing workplace hazards, harmful and hazardous factors related to working hours are also systematically considered. The goal is to identify factors that may negatively affect employees’ health and safety.
The Centre for Occupational Safety has published a new factsheet to support workplaces in recognizing workload factors related to working hours. With its help, workplaces can systematically assess the strain caused by working hours and identify factors that influence employee well-being. The aim is to promote healthy and productive working time arrangements that support smooth work processes. The factsheet encourages work communities to discuss the effects of working hours and to develop practices accordingly.
